Want to Foster?

There are always greyhounds in need and we need foster families but we have to follow guidelines.  Please review our guidelines to see if you would be able to foster.

1. You must have adopted from Greyt Friends in the past

2. You must have a current Greyhound from Greyt Friends

3. You cannot foster for another group - because of liability it is not safe to be fostering for more than one rescue group

4. Foster homes are subject to a quarterly inspection thru the Dept of Agriculture licensing board

5. Greyt Friends, Inc is not responsible for any damage caused by the fostered greyhound

6. The Foster Family is responsible for the food and emergency medical care.

Routine medical care is covered by Greyt Friends

If Emergency Medical care is required the foster family MUST inform Greyt Friends of the reason

Foster Family must use a Greyt Friends approved vet

7. Foster Period ranges from 30-60 days

8. Foster Family must communicate with Greyt Friends on a weekly basis on how the greyhound is adapting

9. Long Term foster care/Rehab is only done on a case by case basis.

10. Fostered Greyhound must be available for show

If you are interested in fostering for Greyt Friends and can agree to the above guidelines please email Dee at GreytFriendsInc@hotmail.com
